WHEN
Freedom Way and Race Street at The Banks are now open to traffic.
The newest section of the Central Riverfront Intermodal Parking Facility will be open on Sunday, Nov. 27 for the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns game.
WHAT
Freedom Way
- Now completed, Freedom Way runs east and west from Great American Ball Park at Main Street (Joe Nuxhall Way) to Paul Brown Stadium at Elm Street, creating greater accessibility for riverfront residents and visitors.
Central Riverfront Intermodal Parking Facility
- Adds 729 parking spaces to the Central Riverfront Garage system (spanning five city blocks and approx. 2,000 feet long).
- Well-connected to the street grid and bus connections and positioned to support economic development, both on the riverfront and in the Central Business District.
- Allows the garage business systems to include valet parking and self-park using credit cards.
- Offers direct access from the West off Second Street, from Race Street and the reopened Pete Rose Way entrance.
ABOUT THE BANKS
The Banks Public Partnership is a working partnership between the City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. The Partnership’s goal is to ensure timely, safe, efficient and inclusive management of the public infrastructure portion of The Banks project and deliver the best value for the public investment in parking facilities, street grid, streetscape and public park. With an investment of $128 million in the public infrastructure, the Partnership’s work lays the foundation for the residential, dining, recreation and entertainment venues at The Banks—a new gateway to the riverfront where the people of Cincinnati can live, work and play.
