Staging of equipment and installation of perimeter fencing for the start of construction of The Banks Project Phase 2 will close some traffic lanes and sidewalks on Race Street, Freedom Way, and Second Street beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 28.
Central Riverfront Garage—Race Street Entry: this parking ramp will be closed to daily parkers; however, public access will be made available prior to all Reds, Bengals and Bearcats home games, the Jason Aldean concert, and the Macy’s Music Festival.
Traffic Lane Closures:
Freedom Way: one westbound lane of Freedom Way between Race Street and Rosa Parks Street. Two-way traffic will be maintained.
Freedom Way: north sidewalk will be closed between Rosa Parks Street and Race Street.
Race Street: the east sidewalk between Freedom Way and Second Street will be closed.
Sidewalk Partial Closure:
Second Street between Race Street and Rosa Parks Street: partial closure of south sidewalk (10 feet of sidewalk will remain open to pedestrians).
Beginning Monday, April 28 at 7 a.m.
Once in place, these street and sidewalk closures will remain in effect until further notice.
These traffic lane and sidewalk closures will allow Brasfield & Gorrie, construction manager for The Banks Project Phase 2 developer Carter and The Dawson Company, to stage the construction equipment and begin construction.
Maintenance of traffic plans will provide continued access for vehicles and pedestrians while ensuring safety of travelers and workers in the area.
